As a pulse-quickening curtain raiser to the Clarkson, Hammond and May shows, fans were treated to live Track Performances overseen by two former Top Gear presenters Vicky Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell.

As well as staging a series of entertaining ‘Grudge Matches’, this section of the show included a rare UK appearance from YouTube driving sensation Ken Block on Thursday plus a live version of the TV show’s ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’.

A stellar line-up of sporting and showbiz celebrities competed against the clock in the reasonably priced Kia Cee’d hatchback with multiple swimming champion Mark Foster coming out on top ahead of master baker Paul Hollywood and Olympic boxing gold medallist Anthony Joshua.
